Strongylognathus testaceus is a very rare, valuable ant among Polish species, rarely found due to its secretive lifestyle. The queens of Strongylognathus testaceus + Tetramorium caespitum tolerate each other and lay offspring together – they practice Inquisition. Sickle workers are not able to work in the nest. They are characterized by sickle-shaped mandibles.
